Royal Enfield tipped to launch it’s first EV in 2025

Royal Enfield will reportedly launch it's first electric bike in 2026. The first electric bike of the EV could be a RE Himalayan electric.

Royal Enfield has been working on it’s electric motorcycle for quite some time now. However, there was no report about the launch date of the Royal Enfield electric bikes. Finally, we have got a possible timeline for the launch of the RE EV.

The company’s top level employee has revealed the exact timeline of its first electric motorcycle during the Q1 financial reporting. CEO of Eicher Motors, Siddharth Lal, has stated that the company’s first EV will arrive in the market in just two years. The automobile maker has already some patent ready and has appointed many people including engineers on this project.

The company is also developing a different Ev platform for the upcoming electric bike. The new platform will make the EVs stand out from the standard ones and differentiate from the rivals in the market.

We got the first look of the rumoured electric Himalayan via the leaked concept a few months ago. The electric Himalayan concept was seen with a bigger battery pack loaded with top-spec technology. The bigger battery will bring improved ridding range to the Himalayan EV. This will also impact the price range.

Royal Enfield might use this EV concept and share the company’s direction in this growing segment. The Royal Enfield would want to start its EV journey with the most expensive model and then come down the price bracket.
