Next-gen Hyundai Venue might launch in 2025

Hyundai will introduce the second-gen Venue in India in 2025. It will continue to be positioned above the recently launched Exter sub-compact SUV.

The next-generation Hyundai Venue sub-four-metre compact SUV will be introduced in India in 2025. It will sit above the recently launched Exter sub-compact SUV in Hyundai’s India line-up.

Hyundai will be making the second generation Hyundai Venue from the new Talegaon plant. The company acquired the plant recently and plans to produce around 1,50,000 units a year.

The new Hyundai Venue has been internally codenamed Q2Xi, while the first-gen was codenamed QXi, where the ‘i’ stands for India. It will succeed the first-gen SUV that continues to bring good sale for the brand.

Though, Exter is currently the high selling SUV of the company. The Venue still has an adequate amount of popularity. It recently reached the 4,50,000-unit sales mark in India. The Hyundai Venue is available in 13 variants. It rivals the likes of Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and the Mahindra XUV300. The Tata Nexon is going to receive a major update next month while the Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300 are scheduled to get the facelifts next year.

Hyundai’s second manufacturing facility in India will be active by 2025, with the brand set to invest Rs 5,000 crore in the coming decade. This plant will help Hyundai achieve its goal of manufacturing around one million units a year. The company’s Chennai plant current has a capacity of 8,20,000 units.
