Maruti Suzuki has showcased the all-new fourth-gen Swift at the Tokyo Motor Show 2023. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift will be launched in India next year. This is the first physical look of the car we are getting after the brand unveiled the Swift concept via images earlier this month.

The Swift Concept seems to be a production-ready version which means it arrive in markets soon. The new Swift concept retains most of the design cues but with some new additions. The new Swift now features sharper-looking headlamps with a flatter nose. It also gets the L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights with projector setup, a revised front bumper with new fog lamps, a wider air inlet. It has a redesigned hexagonal grille, which is now larger with rounded edges and has a dark chrome finish with a gloss black. The Suzuki logo now sits above the grille, just under the bonnet. The front bumper gets fresh cuts and creases and the car overall looks sportier than before.

The features of the new Swift includes Dual Sensor Brake Support II (collision mitigation braking), Adaptive High Beam System, and Driver Monitoring System into the new Swift Concept. the displayed Swift concept in Tokyo seems to have the ADAS features. However, there is no clear indication of it arriving in India yet as Maruti does not offer ADAS on any of its models in the Indian market.

Speaking of cuts and creases, there’s a strong character line that runs across the side on the new Swift and it merges neatly with the headlamps. The roofline and glass house shape are quite similar to the outgoing car, but the doors are new, especially the rear door, which now gets the handle at the conventional location and not on the pillar.

Suzuki has also updated the rear styling of the Swift with new tail lamps with flipped C-shaped signature, new bumper with horizontal reflectors and tailgate. The new Swift also has a Hybrid badge at the rear. But, reports have said that India will continue with the pure petrol powertrain on the new Swift. It sports newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the car seems to have borrowed some interior design cues from it’s siblings Baleno and the Fronx. It features a free-standing infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, push button start/stop, new air conditioning vents and toggle controls, a new climate control display and a semi-digital instrument cluster, a multi-functional flat-bottom steering wheel with brand logo and the HVAC switches.
