Maruti Suzuki Jimny Price drops by Rs 2 Lakh, Details here

Maruti Suzuki has announced a significant reduction in prices for its popular Jimny SUV by over Rs 2 lakh from it's previous price.

Maruti Suzuki has announced a significant reduction in prices for its popular Jimny SUV. The entry-level variant, Jimny Zeta MT, is now priced at Rs 10.74 lakh, down by Rs 2 lakh from its previous cost of Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This move makes the Jimny considerably more affordable, making it almost Rs 4 lakh lower in cost than the entry-level Thar petrol 4WD MT with a Hardtop.

The discounted prices come as part of Maruti Suzuki’s ongoing efforts to make the Jimny more accessible to a wider audience. During Diwali, the SUV was available with a discount of around Rs 1 lakh, and the current offer further sweetens the deal for potential buyers.

To further entice customers, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Jimny Thunder Edition, available for both Zeta and Alpha variants. This special edition includes a range of accessories for an additional cost, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal and features.

Key Features of Jimny Thunder Edition:

  • No mechanical changes; retains the 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine.
  • Available for both Zeta and Alpha variants.
  • Optional Thunder Edition package for entry-level Jimny Zeta and top-spec Jimny Alpha.

The Jimny continues to be powered by a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, with transmission options including a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. All variants feature Suzuki’s ALLGrip 4WD technology. Standard features on the Jimny Zeta include steel wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six airbags, ESP, and more.

Despite being a steady seller with an average of around 3,000 units sold monthly, the Jimny has faced tough competition in its segment. The made-in-India Jimny, available in its five-door body style, has become a global SUV, being exported in both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) configurations to various international markets.
