Man receives defective Tata Nexon from showroom in Bengaluru; the company responds

A man from Bengaluru, identified as Sharath Kumar received a defective Tata Nexon worth Rs 18.2 lakh. The car supposed to be his dream come true turned out to be a source of frustration and disappointment.

After receiving the car, Sharath discovered multiple defects in his new car. The defects included issues at the Nexon Facelift Automatic Petrol Fearless Plus and water-filled headlights. The car also had scratches on the front bumper, quarter panel frame and tailgate frame. Additionally, the vehicle had shoddy welding and improperly fitted door rubber beading.

Kumar bought the car from Prerana Motors in Yelahanka. Posting a video of the vehicle, Kumar mentioned it as the “Worst dealer of TATA Motors.’ The issues revealed a lack of pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) and Quality Control (QC). After finding the defects, Sharath informed the car dealer about the incident, however, they paid no interest in offering a replacement or refunds.

After Kumar posted his ordeal on his Instagram account, the video went viral over the internet. After the video came in the view of Tata Motor, the Tata Nexon’s official handle responded to it. Commenting on the viral video, @tatanexonofficial wrote, “Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Please share your email ID, so we can have the relevant team assist you soon.”

However, Sharath responded to the comment saying, “Already in discussion with Prerana CEO Prithvi & Tata Karnataka Zonal Manager Mohammed Ahmed, I’m not at all happy with the solution. We will rather see in Court soon.”

Notably, the Tata Nexon was brand new and had a warranty of two years but the team didn’t responded properly, as per the ordeal of Sharath Kumar.
