Mahindra XUV 400 EV is expected to launch next year in India, to have similar design as XUV 300
Mahindra is all set to launch its upcoming electric SUV XUV 400 in India in 2023. The XUV400 will directly compete with the likes of Tata Nexon EV in India. The Mahindra XUV 400 will be based on the company’s successful SUV- XUV300. The XUV 400 has been spotted multiple times during its testing on Indian roads.
Even though the XUV 400 is based on the XUV 300, there has been some design changes on it. According to the latest spy pictures of the XUV 400, there has been a distinct design change in the LED tail lamps. The bumper section of the SUV also looks different than the XUV300. As the testing model was heavily camouflaged, much detail about the car could not be seen. The overall length of the car (XUV 400EV) is longer than the XUV300 as it has a length of 4.2m. The additional length of the EV is expected to offer more space for the passengers as well as more boot space.
In terms of power, the Mahindra XUV 400 EV will be powered by a single electric motor that will give a power of 150 bhp. The power generated by the XUV 400 EV will be more than the XUV 300. Even though the cabin features of the electric SUV are unknown, we expect it to be more upgraded than the XUV 300. We hope that it will feature the ADAS features that are offered on the XUV 700.
The range of the XUV 400 is expected to be somewhat around 400km on a full charge. However, the real world range will vary from the claimed mileage. The price of the upcoming XUV 400 EV is expected to be similar to that of Tata Nexon EV. It is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh at the time of its launch in India.
