Kia Sonet Facelift India launch date confirmed for December 14

Kia Sonet Facelift has been confirmed to launch in India on December 14. The facelifted version is said to feature minor exterior tweaks.

Kia Sonet facelift launch date has been confirmed by the company. The facelifted version of Kia’s most affordable offering will arrive in India on 14th December. Kia introduced the ongoing model three years ago in September 2020. The upcoming major facelift is said to receive exterior and interior changes.

We have also got a look at the compact SUV’s revised look and details about the Kia Sonet facelift thanks to leaked images.

The new Sonet facelift is tipped to sport all-LED headlamps with dynamic LED turn indicators a modified grille with fresh hexagonal inserts and a satin chrome finish along its lower edge at the front. The upcoming SUV’s redesigned headlight features vertical extensions flowing downward from the outer lower edges.

At the side, the new Kia Sonet facelift has minimal changes. The alloy wheel design varies as per the variant. The facelifted Sonet features updated LED tail lamps with an LED connecting light bar along with revised front and rear bumpers with more prominent body cladding. It continues to have the Roof rails, a shark fin antenna, and a single-pane sunroof seen in the ongoing model.

It is expected to come with revised fully-digital instrument console, ADAS, and a powered driver’s seat. Kia will likely offer the current version’s equipment list with the lifted version of Sonet including ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC with rear AC vents, and more.

Kia Sonet facelift is rumored to be offered in two petrol and one diesel powertrain options of 1.2-litre 83 PS naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.0-litre 120 PS turbocharged petrol engine offered with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.

The lower and mid-spec variants will be available with the petrol engine while the mid-spec and higher-variants will be equipped with the turbocharged petrol engine. Additionally, the 1.5-litre 115 PS diesel engine will also be offered with 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic transmission.
