Hero to launch a new Harley X440-based bike by March 2024

Hero is reportedly developing a new bike based on the recently launched Harley-Davidson X440. The launch of this upcoming Hero 440 is slated to take place by March 2024. Hero partnered with Harley for the X440 bike development in India.The Harley X440 was developed right here in India by Hero MotoCorp, with inputs from the Milwaukee-based marque.

Id this turns out to be true, then the upcoming Hero bike will likely be equipped with the same base engine and chassis. But, the company might make the bike more sporty looking with 17-inch wheels, edgy design and more ergonomics.

According to reports, the new Hero bike will target a much younger audience than the H-D X440. Sources have indicated that the Hero 440 will have its own distinct sound and more features than the H-D X440

The Hero bike based on the Harley X440 might have a different cubic capacity to further emphasize the difference between the two bikes. It will be sold from the same dealer network as the H-D X440. The X440 will be sold out of the existing Harley dealership but also through a number of premium Hero dealers that will be coming up over the next few months.

Hero aims to made the bike available in a wide dealer network nationwide in a short period. The idea is also for the bike to be serviceable across the country. The service and spare parts will cost around the same range as Royal Enfield as it will be locally made.

Earlier reports suggested that Hero is working on multiple premium machines, including the X440. The leaked document revealed the silhouette of a naked bike next to the small Harley, which further bolsters the idea that the Hero 440cc derivative could follow the form factor of a naked bike. Hero might launch this upcoming Hero 440 bike by March 2024.
