Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is all set to increase the prices of its bikes and scooters that are sold in India. The manufacturer is planning a price hike from July 1 in order to meet the increasing raw material costs incurred by the company. The price of the scooters and motorcycles will be increased by up to Rs 3000 with effect from July 2022.
Currently, the Hero MotoCorp offers scooters like the Pleasure+, Maestro Edge 125, and Destini 125. On the other hand, the motorcycles that are offered by the company are HF 100, HF Deluxe, Splendor+, Super Splendor, Splendor iSmart, Glamour, Passion Pro, Xpulse 200, Xtreme 160R and Xtreme 200S. The price of the two-wheeler ranges from Rs 51,540 to Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The sales figure of Hero MotoCorp is quite impressive in terms of domestic as well as exports in May 2022. The domestic sales figure of the two-wheeler in May 2022 was 4,66,466. On the other hand, in April 2022 the domestic sales of the company were 3,98,490. Similarly, the exports in May 2022 were 20,238. The April 2022 sales were 20,132.
The Hero MotoCorp is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer across the world and its products are budget-friendly. Especially in India, the Hero MotoCorp bikes and scooters appeal to the middle-class section of the country. The price hike of the Hero MotoCorp vehicles is expected to make an impact on sales in India.
