Afghan war veteran, JeM Commander trained Pulwama ‘Fidayeen’, says report

New Delhi: With the passing of each day more shocking revelations are coming to fore in connection with Pulwama terror strike which killed 49 CRPF men and unearthed a new modus operandi of ultras in Jammu and Kashmir.

To go by an intelligence input recently published on a leading news site, Adil Ahmad Dar, the 20-year-old Kashmiri suicide bomber had been trained by one Afghan war veteran and one Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Commander to carry out the strike.

The report further mentions the names of the trainer duo as Ghazi Rashid and Kamran by claiming that they were part of a 15 JeM militants group which had infiltrated into India via Poonch last month.

JeM which wanted to prove that it can carry out suicide bombings in India along similar line engaged local youth for it and picked up Dar. Later, Kamran provided him equipment and other explosives during training for the mission. Training by Kamran, who was trained by Pakistan Army’s Special Service Group, which carries out cross border attacks  on India, proved very beneficial for Dar, says the intelligence report.

It is being widely believed that, the terrorists groups active in Jammu and Kashmir are dispirited by success of the Indian security forces in past two years.
