BJD’s Barsha Singh Bariha wins Padampur By-Poll in Odisha

Barsha won over BJP’s Pradeep Purohit in a big margin of 42,065 votes

Bargarh: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Barsha Singh Bariha registered win for the Padampur Assembly seat with a huge vote margin. She won over BJP candidate Pradeep Purohit.

There were 23 rounds in total during the vote counting. The BJD candidate led from round 1 and the trend continued till the end of the counting while the vote margin between the winning candidate and BJP candidate went on increasing.

As the trend was in favour of BJD, Barsha started celebrating at her home surrounded by her supporters after the result of 12th round was out. She was happy but turned emotional and said that today she is missing her late father Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha.
