Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has invited Italian Companies to invest in a special industrial park in the state. The move came during his meeting with Consul General of Italy Damiano Francovigh here at the State secretariat on Tuesday evening.
Seeking Italian investments, the Chief Minister asked the visiting dignitary to take advantage of the vibrant business ecosystem and Government policies and make their manufacturing base in India.
“Glad to meet Italian Consul General Mr Damiano Francovigh. We discussed wide range of issues to bring closer ties between Odisha and Italy. Invited Italian industry to take advantage of our vibrant business ecosystem & policies & make #Odisha their manufacturing base in India,” the Chief Minister tweeted.

Patnaik also proposed to have a round-table meeting with the CEOs of Italian companies during the ‘Make in Odisha’ Conclave in November next year.
Earlier on the day, Francovigh along with other officials met NALCO CMD and AAI Chairman Tapan Kumar Chand in the State capital and held discussions for industrial collaboration between the aluminium industries of India and Italy.
