New Delhi: India has reported 4,01,993 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data released on Saturday taking the tally to 1,91,64,969.
India reported over 3 lakh cases for eight consecutive days. It took only 9 days for the country to touch the 4 lakh mark.
Meanwhile, a total of 3,523 people died of Covid in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 2,11,853 so far. The daily active cases tally rose to 32,68,710.
A total of 2,99,988 patients recovered in the same time span, taking the number of recoveries to 1,56,84,406.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 19,45,299 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 28,83,37,385 samples have been tested in the country.
According to the government data the total inoculation count is 15,49,89,635.
