Umerkote: Odisha police have rescued 30 girls from a private bus at Umerkote bus stand while they were being trafficked to Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided at the Umerkote bus stand and rescued the girls. The girls were being transported to Bhubaneswar in a private bus named “Kingfisher” and have detained a middleman Subarna Sunani for further questioning.
However, the girls have been under the supervision of the Police.
The police have started an investigation into the matter.
