Kohli guides India to victory in 5th ODI vs West Indies

Kohli-IndiaJamaica: A clinical performance by Team India led by Virat Kohli who scored an unbeaten 111, powered India beat the West Indies by 8 wickets in 5th and final ODI. India won the series 3-1.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. The Indian bowlers, properly aided by the fielders restricted them to 205/9 in 50 overs. Kyle Hope 46, Shai Hope 51, Jason Holder 36 and Rovman Powell 31 were the top contributors. For India, Shami took 4 wickets, while Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets.

While chasing 206, India lost Shikhar Dhawan early. But, other batsmen did not let India down. India reached 206/2 in 36.5 overs. Rahane made 39, while Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 50. Virat Kohli hit 111* off 115 balls with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes.

Virat Kohli was declared ‘Player of the Match’, while Ajinkya Rahane was declared the ‘Player of the Series’.
