Bhubaneswar: The MeT department on Monday predicted heavy rainfall in several parts in Odisha in next 24 hours following the formation of a low pressure area over West Bengal under the impact of cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal.
The weathermen forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorm in eight districts including Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh and Jagatsinghpur till 1.15 PM today.
The MeT department has warned of rough to very rough sea conditions off the Odisha coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
