Bhubaneswar: The local Meteorological center issued thunderstorm alert for seven districts of the state including Koraput on Saturday.
According to reports, the weatherman forecasted thunderstorm in five districts namely Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Bolangir till 6 PM today.
Likewise, thunderstorm likely to occur in the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal and Gajapati till 6.30 PM.
The Met Department has advised the people of these districts to take precautions during the adverse weather conditions and avoid going out as gusty surface wind speed reaching up to 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur in these districts.
