Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Odia cricketer Sukanya Parida for her selection in Indian women’s squad for the One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia.
“Congratulations and best wishes for a successful career,” said Patnaik on his twitter handle while congratulating the 24-year-old Sukanya who was selected by the BCCI’s women’s selection committee yesterday.
Sukanya, a rookie pacer, is residing in Kolkata and had played for India last time in November 2016.
The Mithali Raj-led team will play a three-match ODI series against Australia in Vadodara. The matches will be played on March 12, March 15 and March 18.
