Nayagarh: Two persons were killed and another sustained critical injury after a speeding car met head on with another car on NH 57 at Lunisara under Nuagaon Tehsil in the district on Sunday.
The incident took place in the morning while the driver of a Nayagarh bound Hyundai Verna car (Registration No. OR 02 AQ 2881) lost control over the wheels and smacked into another car coming from the opposite direction this morning. The impact of the accident was so serious that both the vehicles skidded off the road and fell into a nearby crop field killing two and leaving one critical.
The injured was rushed to the Daspalla Hospital by some bystanders later on.
Some locals called up Daspalla Police after they found a heap of ganja spilled out of the mangled cars at the spot. Police were yet to reach the spot and the identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained till this report was being filed.
