Order For Withdrawl Of US Military From Syria Signed: Pentagon

New York: A US Military spokesperson on Sunday informed that order has been signed for the withdrawal of American troops from Syria, where they have been deployed to assist in the war against ISIS.

This comes after US President Donald Trump declared the terrorist group “largely defeated,” and decided to bring US forces home- a move that many US politicians and international allies fear is premature and would further destabilize the already devastated region.

“They’re all coming back and they’re coming back now. We won,” Trump declared on Wednesday.

The decision to call back US troops from Syria was followed by another to make a significant cut to the number of American troops in Afghanistan. This move prompted the resignation of Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and US envoy to the international anti-IS coalition Brett McGurk.

The decision also coincides with the roughly 2,000 U.S. troops finishing up a campaign to retake territory once held by Islamic State militants.
