5 passengers die as fire breaks out in plane on Tokyo airport runway

At least five passengers reportedly died after a Japan airlines plane JAL 516, carrying 300 people caught fire as soon it landed in Tokyo's Haneda airport on Tuesday.

Tokyo: At least five passengers reportedly died after a Japan airlines plane JAL 516, carrying 300 people caught fire as soon it landed in Tokyo’s Haneda airport on Tuesday.

The footage was captured by the public broadcaster NHK.In the footage, one can see flames coming out of the windows of the aircraft.

The spokesperson of the Japan Airlines informed that the plane was carrying 300 passengers and it originated from Shin Chistose airport in Hokkaido.

All the passengers have been safely evacuated.

Later, the fire crew members reached the spot and was dousing the flame. There was no report of any injuries till now.
