London: A burglar was given a jail term for six years on Friday for charges of necrophilia, i.e having sex with a corpse, in a funeral home that he had crept into.
The man was identified as Kasim Khuram, and was in an inebriated state and was also high on artificial cannabis and PCP when he committed the crime.
The judge, who pronounced the order said that Khuram’s crime “offended all human sensibility”, AFP news agency reported.
The 23-year-old pleaded guilty during at an earlier hearing.
The judge said Khuram disturbed the three bodies and nine coffins during the break-in.
Melbourne Inman also said that the 23-year-old disturbed three bodies and nine coffins. “You set about disturbing all nine of these bodies, exactly what you did and why, only you know,” the judge was quoted as saying by AFP.
Khuram’s lawyer Joseph Keating said that his client’s actions were “out of character” and that he was “deeply sorry” for the act.
