The Islamabad High Court has given a big relief to ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case proceedings against him

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has given a big relief to ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case proceedings against him.

The court issued a restraining order on criminal proceedings related to the case and suspended them until further notice. It is noteworthy that the High Court has declared the indictment against Khan in the Toshakhana case as ‘null and void.’

Supreme Court, on Thursday, invalidated his incarceration declaring no one could be arrested from inside the court and ordered his release as it directed police to keep him in the Supreme Court’s protection and produce him before the high court.

Earlier on May 9, Khan was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case following the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) order to probe him in the alleged corruption.

On Wednesday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman was indicted in the Toshakhana case.
