Users complain of battery drainage issue post update to iOS 15.4

Apple recently rolled out the latest iOS 15.4 update for its devices with some new features. The  spotlight feature of the new update is the ability to unlock an iPhone with a Face ID while wearing a mask. The new Face ID only works on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 generation, though and is slower and less secure.

However, some users are reportedly facing some issues after updating to the latest iOS. Some users have also reported that they are having battery drainage issues. As per reports, an iPhone 13 Pro Max only last for half a day and an older iPhone 11 dropping 80 per cent battery charge in 24 hours with two hours of screen on time.

Several tweets regarding this issue has been spotted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

A Twitter user, named Maxim Shishko, said that his phone’s battery life got really poor after iOS 15.4 update. Another user wrote that his phone’s battery percentage got down by 5 percent in less than 10 minutes.

“iOS 15.4 is killing the battery in my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I could go for days without charging, but it’s down to half capacity by mid-day,” a user named Oded Shopen wrote on Twitter.

Apple has not made any statement regarding the battery drain issue being faced by the users yet.

Earlier this week, Apple started rolling out iOS 15.4, alongside iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, macOS Monterey 12.3, tvOS 15.4, and HomePod Software 15.4. Alongside the new Face Unlock feature, iOS 15.4 does also brought over 100 new emoji from the Emoji 14.0 set. Users can now choose separate skin tones for each hand in the handshake emoji.
