Realme 8 5G: World’s Cheapest 5G Phone launched in India, Know Specs and Features

Realme has launched mid-range Realmee 8 smartphone with 5G support in India Today at 12:30pm. The phone features an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor.

Realme 8 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India for the 4GB + 128GB storage model and Rs. 16,999 in India for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant and. The phone will be available for purchase at 12 PM from April 28 on online shopping platform Flipkart.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate, 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, 405ppi pixel density, and 600 nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood , the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC that supports an ARM Mali-G57 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage which can be expanded using an dedicated memory slot.

It runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top.

On the rear, Realme 8 5G flaunts a triple camera setup, headlined by a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 monochrome portrait lens and another 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens. The phone also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera at front for selfies and video calls.
