No more free, Instagram to charge users monthly! Know why and how much

It is important news for the Instagram users. People use Instagram for free. However, the social networking service founded by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger will soon charge the users.

According to media reports, Instagram is working on a new subscription feature. Through this feature, the Instagram would charge Rs 89 every month to the users to access the content.

Though the company has not made it official, the new subscription feature is expected to benefit the IG creators and influencers.

A report by the TechCrunch, Instagram has listed the Instagram subscription on the Apple App Store as an in-app purchase and created an Instagram subscription category. For this, Instagram is reportedly paying Rs 89 per month. However, changes can also be made to it when it is made available for the users.

A Twitter user named Tipster Alessandro Paluzzi (@alex193a) shared a post regarding the Instagram subscriptions. However, he said that Instagram is testing the subscribe button, which will appear on the creators’ profiles. Content creators will also get the option to set their own subscription charges.

Users who pay Rs 89 to subscribe Instagram will get a badge: As per reports, the Instagram users can see the content of their favorite creators only after subscribe by paying Rs 89 per month. They will also be given a badge, which will appear in front of your username by the time you make a comment or message on any of the posts. This will help identify the subscriber user.

The report further revealed that the creators, after the subscription, will also be shown the details of their income and the expiry of the membership.
