Motorola launches new Edge 50 Pro with 125W charging support in India
Motorola has launched the new Edge 50 Pro smartphone in the Edge 50 Pro category in India. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India is placed in the range of above Rs 30,000.
The device boasts the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with 125W fast charging support, that will unfortunately only available in the top-end variant. The smartphone is equipped with AI-enabled features
The device will succeed the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, which was launched in 2023, and will compete against the recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 4, which carries the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro price, colours and sale date
Motorola has set the starting price of Edge 50 Pro at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and while the top model with 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage costs Rs 35,999.
The device is available in three colour options – Luxe Lavender, Moonlight Pearl and Black Beauty. Customers can buy the device starting from April 9 via Flipkart, Motorola Online Store and the company’s authorised retail stores across the country.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro specifications
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro sports a revamped design, new UI, improved battery and more. It features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The device boots Android 14 out of the box with the company’s new Hello UI. Furthermore, it will get three years of Android updates and five years of security updates.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM with 256GB of storage. The device comes with IP68 water and dust resistance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro sports three cameras at the back including a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. The device comes with several AI-powered features for the cameras, including AI adaptive stabilisation and AI photo enhancement.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs a 4,500mAh battery with 125W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. However, the 125W fast charging support is only available with the top-end model while the base variant comes with a 68W charger in the box. The device comes with IP68 water and dust resistance.
