JioPhone Next is perhaps one of the most anticipated affordable smartphone in India. However the sad thing about the smartphone is that it sale has been extensively delayed. When Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Next in partnership with tech giant Google in June, the date of sale was from September 10. However, now the smartphone will go on sale before Diwali. However, ahead of its launch some specifications of JioPhone Next have been revealed.
According to popular tipster Abhishek Yadav, the JioPhone Next will run Android 11 out of the box and have an HD+ display of 720×1440 pixels. It is worth noting that the Android 11 will be the GO version, rather than the regular version of the OS. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon Qualcomm 215 processor paired with 2GB RAM.
The JioPhone Next was also listed in the Google Play Console. The listing showed that the new device will have thick bezels on both sides and forehand at the front. The earlier leaks suggested that the smartphone will be priced at Rs 3,499 in India.
The phone is confirmed to have 4G connection, and other features like voice assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text language translation, smart camera with augmented reality filters, and much more.
The phone also comes preloaded with Google Play, and India specific Snapchat lenses, which is directly accessible from the phone’s camera.
The images shared by the company have revealed that it has thick bezels at the top and bottom, and one camera each on the front and back of the phone. However, it does not include a fingerprint sensor.
It also supports a digital assistant, HDR mode. Users can also change the language of the phone’s content with just a tap of a button.
Reliance has confirmed that its latest JioPhone will get most of the major Android OS as well as security updates.
