Experiencing slow internet speed even after upgrading to 5G, Use this trick

If you are still experiencing slow internet speed even after upgrading to 5G then follow the below tips to boost your internet speed quickly.

India’s top telecom service providers Reliance Jio and Airtel have rolled out the 5G services in almost every city of the country. The telecom operators aim to provide faster and smoother internet access to users with the release of 5G, which is said to have 20-30 times higher speed than 4G LTE .

So, if you have a 5G smartphone and have upgraded to 5G network then you will experience faster data speed. But, if that is not happening, you are still experiencing slow internet speeds then follow the below tips to recover and boost your speed quickly.

Check your network connection

If the internet speed in your phone is low then the first thing you need to check is whether you have connected to a 5G network or not. To do that, Go to Settings options then to Cellular Data where you will see all the networks that your phone is connected to. If the list includes 5G, then its okay.

Restart your phone

If your phone is connected to 5G, but still experiencing slow internet then you can simply restart your device. All of us know how to restart the device. But, in case you don’t know, here is how you can restart your phone. To restart your phone, hold down the power button until you see the power off slider. Slide the power off slider to the right, and then wait a few seconds before turning your phone back on.

Close apps running in the background

Sometimes the internet speed gets slow due to the multiple apps running in the background. These apps consume the data and slow down the internet speed. You can force close these apps to improve internet speed. To do that, open the App Switcher. In case of iPhones, double-click on the home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen if you have an Android phone to see the app switcher. Swipe up on any apps that you don’t want to be running in the background.

Clear cache

You can also try to clear the cache stored in your device from various websites and apps that you’ve visited recently. The cache were generally stored in order to load those websites faster. However, they consume space and slow down your phone. To clear your cache, open the Settings app and go to General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage. There you will see the list of apps and how much space they have taken. Here you can tap on the app that you want to clear the cache for, and then tap on Clear Cache.

Update your software to latest

Your phone’s software is constantly being updated with new features and bug fixes. If you’re not running the latest version of software, it’s possible that you’re experiencing slow internet speeds due to a bug. Update to the latest software by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, tap on Download and Install.

Switch on and off airplane mode

Turn on Airplane mode and then turn it off again. This can help to reset your network connection and improve your speed.
