Bhadrak: A youth was electrocuted to death while repairing a water pump in Baligan area under Chandbali area of Bhadrak district today.
The deceased has been identified as Anjan Kumar Parida of the same village.
As per the report, a water pump which had been installed at the victim’s house had gone defunct this morning. While trying to fix the technical snag in the pump he unknowingly touched a snapped electric wire and suffered an electric shock.
While the family members of the victim rushed him to Chandbali Community Health Centre (CHC) in critical condition he succumbed there under treatment.
Police have seized the body for autopsy and launched an investigation into the incident.
