Bhubaneswar: As many as 9,04,180 doses of ‘Covishield’, Covid vaccine reached Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night via AirAsia flight.
The reach of the vaccination drive will soon be spread far and wide said the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
It is noteworthy that Odisha has received atleast 25 lakh of vaccine doses in seven phases in total. In the first phase for Covid-19 vaccination drive as many as 40,700 doses of Covishield vaccine had reached on January 12.
Atleast 17 lakhs doses of vaccines has reached Odisha in the last five phases.
The vaccination drive began on January 17 in which 90.88 percent of health workers have been vaccinated.
The vaccination rate for Covid frontline warriors that began on February 15 has touched 77.7 percent.
Vaccination for senior citizens is underway since March 1.
