Yellow Warning Issued To 9 Districts In Odisha, Heavy Rain Expected

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will continue to receive heavy incessant rainfall on Monday, predicted Regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar. Yellow warning have also been issued to nine districts of the State.

Reportedly, few parts of the district received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours. Dense fog was also noticed in five places across the state.

The weather department has predicted that some districts are expected to receive rainfall with thunderstorms for the next three days.

A yellow warning has been issued to Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts. Most parts of northern Odisha and one or two places in southern Odisha are likely to receive rain showers.

On the other hand, winter temperatures are unlikely to change significantly in the next three days.

The regional meteorological department has also predicted a gradual drop in temperature by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. As a result, winter chill will return to the State.
