World famous Bargarh Dhanu Yatra begins
The 76th Dhanu Yatra, which is considered as the largest open-air theatre in the world, will continue for 11 days that is till January 25.
Bargarh: The world famous Bargarh Dhanu Yatra began from this evening. Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari inaugurated the annual fair in the presence of local MLAs, public representatives and administration.
The 76th Dhanu Yatra, which is considered as the largest open-air theatre in the world, will continue for 11 days that is till January 25.
The entire Bargarh city is decked up as Mathura while nearby Ambapali village turns up as mythological Gopapura for the drama-based open-air theatrical performance.
Thousands of people from different parts of the State and even the country flock to Bargarh Town to witness the annual festival, which depicts the story of Lord Krishna’s victory over the evil king Kansa.
