Berhampur: In a shocking incident, a mother-daughter duo sustained critical injuries in a wall collapse incident at their house in Baditola village under Digapahandi block of Ganjam district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Sujata Gouda and her daughter Liza Gouda.
As per the report, Sujata was sleeping along with her daughter in her room when the mishap took place in the wee hours today at around 4 am. A weak portion of the roof of their room caved in and fell on them inflicting grievous injuries on them.
The victim duo somehow managed to come out from the debris as well as the room to be rushed to a nearby hospital by locals for treatment.
The mother-daughter duo is currently under treatment.
