VSSUT in Burla shuts after students test positive for Covid

Sambalpur: The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Sambalpur’s Burla has been closed after several students test positive for Covid-19. All the Covid negative students have been directed to return back to their native homes.

Reportedly, the covid positives have been kept in isolation in Angira Hall of Residence in Burla.

The college authorities have suspended all the offline classes and the offline exams havebeen put on hold. The online classes of the students will begin on January 10.

The step has been taken in order to curb the further spread of the coronavirus.

Similarly, a Plus 3 final year student of Rajendra University in Bolangir has tested positive for Covid-19. The Covid positive student was staying in the PG hostel with 50 other inmates.

The student was reportedly suffering from cough and cold for the last few days. The positive student has been sent to his home and has been directed to stay in home isolation.
