Angul: Two people were killed in a road mishap on National Highway 55 near Mundasahi in the district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Dillip Kar of Sundargarh district and Dolamani Nehul of Sambalpur.
As per reports, the deceased were in a vegetable-laden pickup van coming to Angul from Sambalpur. “The pickup van hit a stationary truck parked on the road from the back. As a result of which both of them died on the spot,” said a police official.
Police have seized both the vehicles and have started an investigation in this connection.
