Twin City Covid Update: Positive cases drop significantly in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: As on December 6, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 46 new covid positive cases. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 3 new cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 46 positive cases detected today, 15 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 31. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 15.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 21,825 while the total recovered cases are 1, 19, 570. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1087.  Active cases in the city are 1147.

Out of the total 3 positive cases registered in CMC on Monday, 02 case of home quarantine, and 01 are local contact cases. On the other hand no cases of institutional quarantine were registered today.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,247 while the recovered cases are 44,645. The active cases today are 511.

A total of 105 Covid-19 positive cases including 43 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,50,354 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 105 positives, 19 are quarantine cases and 62 are local contacts.
