Jajpur: SI of Binjharpur Police Station in Vigilance net

Jajpur: Tightening noose around the neck of corrupt officials, Odisha Vigilance on Monday caught a Sub Inspector of Police red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.6000/ from a complainant in this district of Odisha.

The said SI has been identified as Fakir Mohan Singh, SI of Police, Binjharpur Police Station in Jajpur district.

As per reports, Fakir Mohan Singh, the SI of Police, Binjharpur PS was caught red handed today evening while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 6000/ from a complainant in order to avoid arresting him in a miscellaneous case and to release him with notice U/s 41 (a) CrPC.

In this connection CTC Vigilance PS case No 36 dt.06.12.2021 u/s 7PC (Amendment) Act 2018 has been registered. House searches have been launched at 2 locations in Binjharpur and Kandarpur.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
