Truck driver critical in series road accident in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district

Bangirposi: In a tragic incident of series road accident in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, one person was reported critically injured. The accident took place at around 2 AM on Sunday, on NH 49 near Dwarasuni ghat in Bangirposi, said reports in this regard.

Reportedly, an iron ore laden truck rammed into two other trucks, causing the road accident in Mayurbhanj. One of the truck drivers was critically injured in the accident, said reliable reports.

The injured one was rushed to a hospital in Bangirposi for immediate medical attention.

Reports from reliable sources state that the iron ore laden truck was on its way to Kharagpur from Keonjhar when it hit another truck coming from the opposite direction.

The local police and officials from Fire department arrived at the spot and initiated a rescue operation. Due to the accident, roads remained blocked for almost three hours. This comes only a few days after another road accident near Dwarasuni ghat that claimed the life of six people.
