Subarnapur: Police today arrested three persons for allegedly killing a man in Sonpur area in March. The body of Susant Nayak was found in an abandoned well in Pipilipali village on March 12.
The deceased, a resident of Brahmanipali village had been to the marriage function of a friend on March 10 and went on missing. The body of Nayak was found two days after he went on missing.
Police said that initially it appeared as a case of an accidental death. “Post-mortem revealed that it was a murder. Subsequently we started an investigation and arrested three persons for his murder after nine months,” said a police official.
The accused have been identified as Agasti Kardia, Sujit Behera and Prakash Bhoi.
