Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday received the postmortem report of Ollywood actress Laxmipriya Behera alias Nikita, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances last week.

Speaking to media about the report, Cuttack DCP Akhilesvar Singh said, “We have received the post-mortem report in which the doctors opined that Nikita died of injuries after she fell from a height.”
He further said that there is no new thing mentioned in the report. Earlier, it was clear that she died after falling from the height. The same thing was propagated in the report.
Meanwhile, police have issued a notice to Nikita’s in-laws asking them to appear before it.
Notably, Nikita, mother of a five-month-old boy, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on January 5.
Later, the actress’ father Sanatan Behera lodged an FIR at Chauliaganj police against her husband Lipan Sahu and in-laws holding them responsible for her death. Following the complaint, the cops registered a case under Section 302, 498 (A), 306 and 34 of IPC.
On Monday, police attested Lipan, whom the Cuttack SDJM Court sent to the Choudwar jail.
