Rath Yatra: Sibling deities to move to Adapa Mandap today

Puri: The holy siblings of Lords Jagannath and Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra will be taken to their ‘janma bedi’ at Adapa Mandap on Friday.

The three chariots – ‘Nandighosa’ (Lord Jagannath), ‘Taladhwaja’ (Lord Balabhadra) and ‘Darpadalan’ (Goddess Subhadra) reached Gundicha temple yesterday.

Religious fervour has gripped the entire state and devotees in thousands participated in the chariot pulling.

On Friday, too, several thousand have made their way to Puri to view the holy trinity on their chariots.

As per schedule, the deities will remain in their respective chariots till afternoon. After that, they will be taken in a procession or pahandi to Gundicha temple for Adapa Mandap. Visit to the deities will be closed for the day. Special prasad Adapa Abhada will be available for devotees from Saturday onwards.
