Bhubaneswar:  While it is already over two weeks since J&K medico Suhail Aijaz went missing from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar, police is still clueless about his whereabouts. Odisha DGP RP Sharma said the probe is moving in the right direction and cops of at least 3 states are working in close cooperation.

While informing the media on the progress of the investigation soon after talking to Jammu & Kashmir DGP SP Vaid, Sharma said Odisha Police is in constant touch with the West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir Police and sharing information in its concerted effort to trace the missing medical student. Not only that, efforts are also being made to gather information from the police of other neighbouring states to reach Suhail, he added.

Meanwhile, Odisha Police is examining the facebook account of Suhail who happens to be a resident of Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir to check if he had connection with any extremist group. Similarly, during the investigation it also came to notice that Suhail was not having any WhatsApp account.

Earlier, Suhail’s father Aijaz Ahmed Kataria appealed him through the media to return immediately. Aijaz also expected that his son would not take any step which would invite trouble.

Suhail left his hostel to attend a wedding in Chandigarh on February 9. While he promised the hostel authorities to return on February 17, he did not come back.
