Kendrapara: Police today busted a gang of dacoits and arrested nine persons. Police have also seized gold ornaments weighing around 150 grams, cash of Rs 42000 and sharp-edged weapons from their possession.
Police said that the gang was involved in a series of loot and dacoity incidents in Aul and Pattamundai.
“The gang was involved in dacoity from one house in Bharatpur area on August 29. The accused had also assaulted four persons for resisting them. We are further verifying their antecedents,” said a police official.
