New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again praised Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Modi praised the Naveen-led State government for its move of reforms in mining/coal sectors in sync with the Centre’s vision.
“A significant increase in profits has been seen following the reforms in coal mining. The profit has increased to Rs 35,000 crore from Rs 14,000 crore. Different states have benefitted from the reforms in coal mining and Odisha became the first state to implement these reforms,” said Modi while replying to the Motion of Thanks debate in Rajya Sabha today.
“Therefore, I congratulate Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his Government to work shoulder to shoulder with the centre,” he added.
PM Modi also cited how Odisha-Centre relation is a good example of cooperative federalism.
