Cuttack: Orissa HC on Friday granted conditional bail to Dr Sudha Sethy, Asst. Professor of SCB Medical College and Hospital here, who was arrested on December 13, 2017 by the Vigilance sleuths in connection with Odisha State Treatment Fund (OSTF) scam.
The court also ordered Dr Sethy to cooperate with the investigating agency, not to manipulate any evidence in the case, who was granted bail after furnishing a bond for Rs 2 lakh and executing two sureties.
Dr Sethy, the Nodal Officer of OSTF, Department of Clinical Hematology in SCB Hospital was arrested in charges of abuse of her official position to show undue official favour to certain pharmaceutical companies.
The investigating agency found that Dr Sethy had prescribed various high cost drugs, manufactured from selected pharmaceutical companies, to poor patients getting financial assistance for their treatment under the OSTF.
