Balasore: A comic actor of an opera party has been thrashed to death by a fellow actor over a brawl in Jayrampur village under Bhogarai police limits in Balasore district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Trilochan Ranjit (Tika), a resident of Katisahi under Balipal police limits.
Tika, who had been to the village market in some work after rehearsal and was returning his home at around 11 pm in the night when came across Rejendra Dalei alia Tutu. After initial argument over a past dispute, Tutu thrashed Tika severely in which he fell unconscious died a few minutes later.
After getting intimation Bhogarai Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body for autopsy.
The accused Tutu had been taken into custody by police and his interrogation is currently underway.
