Odisha signs MoU with NIOS, over 20000 ITI students to get 12th-class certificates annually

The Skill Development and Technical Education department of Odisha government today signed a MoU with NIOS to help the ITI students of the State to obtain 12th-class certificates.

Bhubaneswar: The Skill Development and Technical Education department of Odisha government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) to help the ITI students of the State to obtain 12th-class certificates.

As per the agreement, over 20,000 ITI students will benefit from this partnership annually, paving the way for higher education and enhanced job prospects.

On this occasion, NUA Odisha has entered a partnership with Nasscom to provide digital skilling opportunities, aligning with the industry’s demands. This will provide e-skilling opportunities for 1 lakh youths annually, with online courses curated in collaboration with industry leaders.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Pritiranjan Gharai, Usha Padhee, the Principal Secretary of Skill Development and Tech Education Department, Reghu G, the Director of DTET, Prof Saroj Sharma, the Chairperson of NIOS, Kirti Seth, CEO of IT-ITeS SSC NASSCOM and others.
