Bhubaneswar: Senior journalist and resident editor of the Business Standard (Bhubaneswar edition), Dillip Satpathy, passed away here on late Sunday night. He was 56.
According to reports, Satpathy complained chest pain at around 12.30 AM and immediately rushed to a city-based private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Sources said, the scribe was battling against cancer since long. He opted to remain a bachelor till his last breath.
Satpathy had depth knowledge in economics and business issues. His contribution to both print and electronic media will be remembered forever.
A pall of gloom has descended in the media fraternity following the untimely demise of the scribe.
