Cuttack: A headmaster of a primary school in the district has been placed under suspension for irregularities in Mid-day Meal (MDM) programme.
As per reports, Prakash Mohapatra the headmaster working with Kota Primary School at Baideswar village under Banki block has been suspended by the Additional District Magistrate.
Villagers alleged the headmaster of misappropriation of rice under MDM programme. The villagers have even staged a demonstration recently demanding stringent action against Mohapatra.
“The Block Education Officer (BEO) has been asked to conduct an inquiry into the allegations made by the village. Subsequently the headmaster has been suspended,” said an official.
